Structural audits can either be non-destructive or destructive testing. Non-destructive testing can be done using Schmidt Hammer tests to determine the strength of concrete; or x-rays to determine the size and spacing of reinforcement in the structure.

- Ferroscan Structural Audits – Ferroscans are x-rays carried out on existing structures to determine the presence, size and spacing of reinforcement bars.
